Spay & Neuter Services

We offer several affordable programs and services to Monroe County pet owners.

We understand how expensive pet care can be, and we want to help as much as possible. We do not have veterinary staff through HSMC at this time.

If you are interested or able to help with volunteering service, sponsorships, or partnerships for our Pet Food Bank please contact us by utilizing our contact page or calling us at 734-240-0562.

Microchip Service

If your dog or cat becomes lost a microchip can ensure that there is another way for your animal to be identified, in addition to their tag or license. Each stray dog or cat brought into the shelter is scanned for identification. All of our cats and dogs are now microchipped before they are adopted. We care deeply for the welfare of the dogs and cats that arrive at our shelter and understand the importance of microchipping.

Our Microchip Fee is only $20 and includes a one-year free registration. Microchips are administered at our shelter but you must call ahead for an appointment. Periodic microchip clinics are also held for owners desiring microchips.

Please call if you are interested in having your pet microchipped (734) 243-3669.
