1. Report to Monroe County Animal Control
Municipal stray intake and animal law enforcement in Monroe County are managed by Monroe County Animal Control. All found stray dogs must be reported to them:

2. Scan for a Microchip
Bring any found animal to the Humane Society of Monroe County or any local veterinary clinic. Staff will scan the animal for a microchip at no charge.
3. Check Universal Microchip Databases
If you have an animal's microchip number, look up the issuing registry at petmicrochiplookup.org (AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup).
